Photo taken during flight operations aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70). A Vought A-7E Corsair II aircraft from attack squadron VA-82 Marauders is ready for launch on the port catapult, 15 June 1982. All aircraft were assigend to Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8), which was at that time mostly stationed on the USS Nimitz (CVN-68).
